PLus just watching production videos on youtuve for ableton and FL, the workflow is just so much more intuitive and geared towards EDM production. I never even used ableton and im too scared to switch cuz i have 15 years experience with cubase, don't want to start over, but damn do i regret it every day. These days i think being embedded on an online community for nay hobby is extremely important for growth, and there just isnt one for cubase. I just can't solve any of my problems on cubase on ableton it would be so easy to solve because there are 1000x more resrouces and active community for it online. Here a thread is lucky to get one comment. Go on the ableton sub and you can ask any question and get 50 upbotes and a giant conversation about it right away. But that's fine, you can learn your way around that and ultimately it won't matter, the real reason is any notes written at least as large as an 8th note in cubase will be outputed from fl studio as if they were a 16th note at half the tempo. The workflow just isn't oriented toward EDM, it's not ideal. by setting my master tempo of my project (cubase) to double the tempo I wanted for the song, it improves the quality of fl studio midi drift significantly.
